Setting up new email for the first time can be confusing.  If you have issues, here are some things to check - above all, pay attention to any error messages you see, these are generated to help you find the problem, don't ignore them.

If you haven't already seen it, please refer to the Email Setup Guide

Do's

  • Do check that the you enter the correct port numbers.  We only allow connection on the standard secure ports (465, 993 and 995) to protect the privacy of your email traffic
  • Do check that your password is entered correctly, your password is CaSe SeNsItIvE
  • Do check that your IP address isn't blocked.  For your security we block repeated failed attempts to access your email, this stops people trying to guess your password.  To check this, try accessing your email from a different wifi or using mobile data.  If you can access your email on one IP address, but not the other, one of is likely blocked.  In this case Contact Us and let us know which IP (IPv4) address doesn't work.  To find your IP address you can go here What is my IP address
  • Do send us as much detail as possible if you get stuck: 1) screenshots; 2) error messages; 3) where are you having issues? for example, can you send but not receive email?; 4) what device and software are you using, for example standard iphone email, microsoft outlook on windows etc.

Dont's

  • Dont send us a message that just says "my email doesn't work", this is never helpful. We need as much detail as you can provide, see Do's above
