Meet your Personal Assistant.
The Personal Assistant is an AI-powered helper built into your domain.co.nz account. It can manage your domains, DNS records, hosting, email and billing — 24/7, in any language — through a conversational chat interface.
You can use it in two ways:
- Inside your domain.co.nz client area — Sign in to your account and look for the chat panel. Just start typing what you'd like to do.
- Through Claude (the AI app from Anthropic) — If you already use Claude on your phone or computer, you can connect your domain.co.nz account so Claude can manage things on your behalf without leaving the conversation.
What can it do?
A few examples of what you can ask:
- "Is
mybusiness.nzavailable? How much for two years?" - "Show me my DNS records for
example.com" - "Set up an email mailbox
info@example.comfor me, with a strong password" - "Forward
sales@example.comto my Gmail address" - "What's my current invoice?" — and it can pay it from your account credit or registered card
- "I'm going on holiday from 15 December to 5 January — set an out-of-office reply on my mailbox"
- "Help me set up Microsoft 365 for my domain"
- "Configure my email on my new iPhone"
It can also build and deploy a basic website to your hosting account if you have one with us.
What about privacy and security?
When you use the assistant, you stay logged in to your own domain.co.nz account — it can only see and change things that belong to you. It can never view or modify another customer's account.
Some details of your conversations are kept on our servers (specifically: actions you've asked the assistant to take, support tickets it has raised on your behalf, and notes about features you've requested). This helps us improve the service and follow up if anything went wrong. We retain this information until your account is closed.

What can't it do?
Some things still need a human:
- Complex disputes or refunds — the assistant will offer to raise a support ticket for you
- Account closures or major billing changes
- Anything outside the domain registration / hosting / email services we provide
If the assistant can't help with something, it will say so and offer to pass the request to our support team.
