The DNS Bot is a multi-lingual flexible AI assistant that can answer questions and update your DNS settings for you. It uses the latest AI engines and can accept natural language language requests in a wide range of styles and grammar, it can also answer questions and help guide your updates.

When requesting changes to your DNS settings we recommend you phrase requests so that existing settings are updated (if they already exist) rather than added, this avoids multiple conflicting records.  If you have multiple domains, also ensure you state what domain(s) you want to change (yes you can update multiple domains at once).  If you arent sure what records you currently have, the DNS Bot can list them for you.

Example Commands

Show me my DNS settings in table format

Update my MX and SPF records to point to google

Replace and add any missing A records to point to squarespace and create a TXT verification record {your verification string}

What A records do I currently have

Things to Look Out For

Web hosting: Your A records are the most important
Email hosting: Your MX record is the most important.  We also recommend updating your SPF (TXT) record

Common Mistakes

Problem: If you add an A record, the original record remains, creating a conflict
Solution:
Update the existing A record rather than adding a new one

Problem: If you modify your A record, your MX (mail) record by default will also change.
Solution: Prior to changing your A record, create a new subdomain with the existing IP address and update the MX record
